Kensington Gardens

For a more peaceful and thoroughly British day out, Kensington Gardens is the perfect destination. With a relaxed atmosphere and a history that dates back to 1922 this park has been a preferred day out for thousands of tourists over the years and features a number of attractions that make it instantly appealing:

Boating lake - a perfect place to take children or somewhere for a relaxing row on the water, the boating lake at Kensington gardens is a great spot for a mini adventure.

Japanese gardens - dating back to the date of first opening, the Japanese gardens feature strong oriental influence and a pleasant design that make them a joy to walk around.

Landscaped gardens - you're at the gardens, so you won't be surprised to learn that as well as oriental style gardens there are also a range of landscaped garden areas and neat and well-kept grounds to enjoy and walk around.

A café & tearoom - once you've walked around the grounds, you can take a rest and get a bite to eat at the on-site tearooms.

The boating pond - a small pond in the grounds of the park has become a favourite spot for model boat enthusiasts and children alike.

Two bowling greens - the bowling greens are available for the public to use on a ‘pay and play' basis so for the older generation or anyone that prefers a leisurely game, these are the perfect spot for stopping off for a quiet game.

Four tennis courts - with beautiful surroundings, the tennis courts at Kensington gardens are the perfect place to unwind. Especially in the summer - get some sea air in your lungs and bash those balls about to get the heart racing.
